Our Weymouth location is actively seeking an energetic, positive thinking, hard working candidate to fill a seat in our receiving/shipping department. The candidate must have 3-5 years industry experience in shipping/receiving and knowledge of The L.E.A.N. improvement process in addition to the following:
Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Must have an outgoing positive personality to greet CH customers/clients visiting our Weymouth facility
- Must emulate the CH core values in your everyday work
- Retrieve daily UPS manifest for incoming packages on UPSWorldship and prepare your workspace accordingly
- Receiving in orders by PO, all new packages must be processed daily
- Updating Shopworks database throughout the day as you receive
- Preparing orders for production by design with appropriate paperwork
- Develop knowledge of product so that you are able to recognize errors or variations in product and able to communicate that to purchasing department
- File claims for vendor returns daily as needed
- Know our top manufacturers and most popular products
- Control in house inventory
- Prepare outgoing packages for UPS pick up daily
- Track outgoing UPS orders
- Assist production with packing orders for customer deliveries and pickups
- Assist customers with package pickups
- Assist delivery team with delivering School/Corporate orders to surrounding towns and cities
- Maintain the cleanliness of company vehicles, report any vehicle issues to Company operations and management teams
- This position requires a valid Mass Drivers License
Miscellaneous
- Responsible for opening and locking doors daily as well as maintaining all doorways and entrances for cleanliness and safety
- Responsible for light building maintenance such as trash removal, floor sweeping and mopping, seasonal light landscaping needs
- Assist with general labor tasks as they arise
- Bring positive and developmental input into corporate decision making for long term corporate growth and daily process improvement
- Assist with Special Events such as St Patrick’s day and Irish festivals in March and September, Dorchester day and Charlestown Day in June
Scheduled Hours: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and one or two Saturdays a month if needed.
(half hour lunch)
Rate of pay: $17 hr (negotiable) based on experience, plus incentives for achieving company sales targets.
