Silk screen printing is the technique of creating a picture or pattern by forcing ink onto a surface through a mesh screen. 4 Color Process
The perfect way to capture a full color image by using translucent Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. This type of printing works best on white or natural colored shirts. *Additional artwork charges may apply.
Half Tones
If you want to achieve slight color variations or gradients in your artwork, it's an efficient way to cut down the amount of colors in a design.
Vintage/Distressed
Vintage and distressed tees have a unque signature look. Let us help you get that timeless look.

Second Step: Artwork
Sending us your logo or digital art
To have your logo screen printed on apparel or accessories, a 'screen' (or 'stencil') of your logo or art has to be made. But don't worry, we will take care of that part. Our art department will take the necessary steps to prepare your art for this process. All we need from you is your art!
Third Step: Ink Colors
We have a list of our "standard" ink colors. If you need a custom PMS color they are custom mixed at $35 per color.
*For specialty ink colors/embellishments please contact us.
Fourth Step: Screens
Every design has to have a screen containing a 'stencil' of the art in order to transfer it onto a garment. For every color in your design, a separate screen is needed. College Hype requires that new screens are produced for all NEW artwork submitted. Screens can be re-used if a customer wishes to re-order.

CONVERT ALL TEXT TO OUTLINES/PATHS
If a file is not truly vector-based, submit the original file format. Gradients/older versions of software may cause problems in translation. Please submit a matching pixel image (such as jpg) so that the art can be verified upon opening.
RECOMMENDED PIXEL FORMATS: (in order of preference)
- TIF
- PSD (Adobe Photoshop)
- JPG
- BMP
- GIF
- PNG
- RESOLUTION – 300 DPI MINIMUM at FINAL size
For embroidery, jpg and bmp are preferred formats. Photographs MUST BE ACTUAL SIZE or larger or loss of detail is probable.
'CAMERA READY' ARTWORK
- Glossy or high quality paper
- As large as possible
- Print with highest quality ink setting
NOT RECOMMENDED:
- DOC (Microsoft Word)
- XLS (Microsoft Excel)
- PPT OR PPS (Microsoft Powerpoint)
- Other file formats such as Publisher, Virtual Card, etc. not acceptable
Pixel images CAN be extracted from Office files with extra processing time. If a logo was created with a Microsoft Office Application, a camera ready printout as large as possible is more effective than submitting the actual computer file.
